To begin with, we discussed the results of our Memorization Experiment & the 3 types of Memory. Demonstrating working memory & prompting effects, we participated in an memory experiment with random & everyday objects. Then we had to list as many of the objects as we could remember or circle the objects we recognized. The activity was followed by discussion on the effects & uses of prompting.
Then we divided the class into 3 groups to examine a part of our section on Thinking & Problem Solving. We shared our findings & took notes as a class.
Next, we participated in a creative problem-solving activity where we each had common objects. We had to work with a partner to repurpose our objects. We shared our repurposed items with the class.
Lastly, we worked on #1-4 on pg. 302.
We will discuss our quiz on Memory & Thought at the beginning of class tomorrow.
