We began class with DEAR & binder checks. Then we reviewed & graded our quizzes on Memory & Thought.
Next, we began our section on Motivation & Emotion by taking notes along with a powerpoint.
For Tuesday, we will finish our notes & begin work on a group project:
Motivation Project
You and your team are industrial psychologists who have been hired to create an ad. Choose a topic from the following: new snack food, new line of clothing, new communication device, new internet service, or new kind of car. Apply theories of motivation (drive-reduction, incentive theory, cognitive theory, etc…) and create a product name, a slogan, and a visual aid (photographs, powerpoint, video, skit, etc…) You must target a specific audience. We will have time in the media center to work on projects on Tuesday, November 9. Your product presentation will be Tuesday, November 16. This is a major project weighted at 40%.
*Cite any and all sources used throughout your research.
*Each team member must have at least one assigned task.
*Include a 2-page paper explaining how & why your team selected the product name, slogan, & image. *Explain who your target audience is & what motivational theory(ies) you applied.
o Use your textbook pgs. 313-327 as a reference.
o This must be typed in 12pt Times New Roman font and double-spaced.
