Sociology

Would you rather live in a society without art or a society without science?

  After reviewing our syllabus & classroom expectations, we brainstormed terms, ideas, & phrases that describe or pertain to sociology. We discussed our ideas & will compare them to what we learn about sociology in the next week.
  Next we read Why It Matters and wrote a paragraph summary on the article. We discussed the article in class. Your paragraph should be kept in the notes section of your binder.
  Then we took a a pre-quiz to review our definition of sociology & test our knowledge. We graded it in class & reviewed the results.
  Lastly, we began taking notes through a powerpoint about the 4 Truths of Sociology & the Benefits of Sociology. We will continue with our notes on Thursday.

*Remember to have your syllabus signed by a parent by Friday, January 21.
*We will have DEAR & binder checks for the first few minutes of class on Friday so be prepared!!
