Freshman Seminar
Today we used TIME's list of 2010's Top 100 People to conduct preliminary research & create an annotated bibliography. We began by looking through the list of people & reading the biographical information provided. Then we selected 3 people who seemed interesting to us.
Next, we used a research packet to help us find out more information about 1 of the people we chose. We researched their life before fame & their contributions to society. Then we used our research information to create 1 annotated bibliography. You were given instructions on how to created the annotated bibliography in class. Since we had all of classtime to conduct this research, anything you do not finish will be homework.
The completed research packet is due on Monday, March 28.
Don't forget.....we will be taking our fieldtrip to Greenville Tech on Wednesday, March 16. Your permission slips were due today!
* If you did not finish your response to the One in 8 Million project we did on Wednesday (March 9) please submit your survey response by the end of today!

Global I - A schedule
Why are myths an important part of Greek culture?
We briefly reviewed our map work & the guidelines for our MythMaker project. We spent the whole class in our partner sets working on the assignment. Remember, for any of the 4 options you must have proof of research (notes, printouts, rough drafts, etc...), a Citation Page, & a final product (booklet, skit lines, visual aid, family tree, etc...). We will present our MythMaker work on Wednesday, January 26.

Freshman Seminar
Class was held in the media center today in order to finish COMPASS testing & begin researching our Dollar Bill assignment. Everyone had a $1 to examine & ask questions about. Then we organized our questions into categories. We discussed the types of questions we came up with a class and what topics they cover. Then we broke into teams of 3 & each team was given a category of questions. From that category your team's task was to come up with 2-3 thorough, researchable questions. We spent the remainder of class researching these questions & we'll pick up here on Wednesday.
