We began class by reviewing information that we learned on Thursday about Egypt's geography & environmental concerns.Then we took notes along with a powerpoint about pharaohs & their system of governing. We discussed a few of the more popular pharaohs & their achievements. Then, we looked at a primary source on King Tut & watched 2 brief video clips about the significance of his tomb & the treasures inside.
Next, we read about who invaded Egypt & the important contributions made during the Middle Kingdom.
Then you were given a few minutes to break into your project groups to finalize your plans.
Assigned homework: complete handout "Pyramids on the Nile"
Remember that your group project needs to be ready to present on Thursday, September 30!
Also, be prepared to take a quiz over Mesopotamia & Egyptian civilizations on Friday, October 1.
